How to Become a Biennial Artist

Wednesday, February 25, 7:00 PM EST (Live)

You’ll learn:

  • What biennial artists are doing right, and what is replicable

  • How to identify your career narrative (and use it intentionally)

  • What determines whether curators pursue your work

Your Host

Paddy Johnson helps artists at all stages of mid-career helping them reach new heights. These artists have gone on to show at The Whitney Biennial, MoMA, and The New Museum, as well as blue chip galleries such as David Zwirner, Night Gallery, and Pace gallery. They have won grants from The Trellis Foundation, The Guggenheim Foundation, Creative Capital, Joan Mitchell Foundation, Pollock Krasner and The Gottlieb.

Workshops and Events

Events are the core of our community.

We provide ongoing coaching and career strategy for members through weekly drop-in coaching calls, community workshares, and asynchronous review from Netvvrk coaches and our team.

Our monthly workshops, bonus guest speakers, and critiques by selected curators are open to all Netvvrk members to attend. The complete call recording library is available inside the community portal.

Small Groups and Collaborations

Our members collaborate meaningfully on and offline.

Accountability Groups self-organize around common goals like finishing an application, submitting a proposal, or a group show.

Collectives are themed subgroups focused on specific topics like location, career, medium, or experience. These groups run their own events and programming with training from our team.

Quarterly networking events offer opportunities to meet each other and find common interests.
